Meditate Both Day and Night

Today, this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for the you will make your way prosperous, and the you will have success. Joshua 1:8

1. This book, God's word, needs to come out of your mouth.

Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person."

1. God wants us to meditate on the word of God. to read with thoughtfulness, study with understanding, to linger or ponder with focus.

II Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."

1. God wants us to meditate...day and night.

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ richly dwell with you."

1. So....that you and I may be careful to do according to all that is written in God's word.

Read James 1:21-25 "....in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls, (vs. 22) But prove yourselves doers of the word..."

1. The end of Joshua 1:8 states that if you meditate; "then God says you will be prosperous and successful."

Today, allow Joshua 1:8 to become alive in your heart and mind!
