Handling God's Money Part 4: Offerings

One verse that I am need to constantly remind myself about is Acts 20:35. Paul is saying his farewell to the Ephesians and he says “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

When speaking of money, budgeting and getting out of debt; we can’t get so focused on those things that we forget that we need to be givers. We need to give of our time, give of our efforts, give of our money, and be a people that has a focus on others rather than a focus on ourselves. I need a slap in the face about this topic every day.

Proverbs 11:24 says “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” There is benefit in being a giver. Do you have a giving attitude?
