How Long Will You Wait?

“So Joshua said to the sons of Israel, "How long will you put off entering to take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?”

Joshua 18:3 NASB

As I was doing my daily reading this scripture stopped me dead in my tracks. God has had me on a journey where I have been understanding His promises. As I live my life the one thing that keeps me on course is a desire to be obedient to Him. I wonder where I have been waiting on the right time? Is He waiting on me to go and take what He has already given me? I am to respond in faith if He has spoken a promise? He has given a command and I need to be obedient. I am the one putting off going and taking what God has already given. Often times the promise seems too big for us. Often times the promise is filled with giants, but if God has given the land to us, we are to go. He will go before us and demonstrate His awesome power. He will tear down the walls, defeat the enemy, and place us in a place of authority under Him giving all glory to God Almighty.
