Priority Friend
Psalm 95:6-7 “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.”
I love this verse because this is how I start my day. I love to spend time with the Lord, I love to meet with Him in our secret place. I long to worship Him and commune with Him and learn His heart. It is such a comfort to me to know that I am under His care. He is the great Shepherd and He is looking for me, as any good shepherd would. He is also looking for you.
Have you checked in with the Father today? Have you come to Him just to tell Him you love Him? That you’re thankful He redeemed your life from the pit and crowned you with loving kindness? Is your heart heavy? Have you spoken to the Master today? He will give you peace, He offers wisdom and freely gives what it is that you need.
Jesus longs to be your priority friend. You are loved by Him and in His care. So often we forget that we are not in our own care, we have a Savior who is leading. He loves you and He wants to take your load, He wants to share his heart, He wants to be intimate with you.
I encourage you, don’t let your day start until you’ve checked in with the Shepherd. Worship to the one who is everything, will change the outcome of anything you’re facing. It will just take a moment in presence, and you will never want to be without it.
