Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. Psalm 32:11
Donald C. Stamps in the Life in the Spirit Study Bible said, The only truly happy people are those who have received forgiveness of their sins from God... Such blessed peace is open to all sinners who come to the Lord.
As a repentant sinner, we are treated as righteous! Not by something we have done or earned but by God’s gift given upon confession of our sins and belief in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins and rose again, defeating death and sin. We are forgiven! Our sin is covered in the blood! We are guilty no more! Our debt is canceled from the record! No matter what is happening in your life today, have joy. Joy that you are forgiven. You are loved by the Father. He is preparing a place for you. This is not your home. Look to Him, the author and finisher of our faith. Sing this old song and remember the reason for living is in Christ our Savior.
I have found His grace is all complete,
He supplieth every need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus' feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.
I have found the pleasure I once craved, It is joy and peace within; What a wondrous blessing, I am saved From the awful gulf of sin. I have found that hope so bright and clear, Living in the realm of grace; Oh, the Savior's presence is so near, I can see His smiling face. I have found the joy no tongue can tell, How its waves of glory roll; It is like a great o'erflowing well, Springing up within my soul.
Joy unspeakable, full of glory and oh my, the half has yet to be told! Your sins have been forgiven! Have joy!
