A New Thing

Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth: shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19

Spring is my favorite time of the year. Everything is coming back to life and looks fresh and new. It gives me a sense of new hope. God wants us to have an excitement and hope about our lives in Him! Isaiah tells us to forget about our past. The regrets, the hurts, and the disappointments. Easier said than done, believe me I know. But with God all things are new! He loves to take our broken, barren, and dead parts and breathe life into them.

He tells us to not remember the former things or consider the things of old. In other words, stop looking back. Keep your focus on Him and His Word. Then your perspective will change. Verse 19 says He will do a new thing, that it shall spring forth. Shall me not know it? For me personally, I felt a shift in the Spirit. I knew God was about to do a new thing in my life.

He taught me to trust Him no matter how things looked. Then He says He will even make a road in the wilderness. That means He will make a way even if it looks impossible or too difficult. It gets better…Now He promises rivers in the desert. See the road in the wilderness is your journey in life, and the rivers are the provisions He provides for all you need for the journey.

God wants to get us into position to fulfill our purpose so He can manifest His glory through us!

Be Blessed-
