Change Your Thoughts

Pastor Sam encourages us to Pray: “Lord heal my mind, correct my thinking, help me to make wise decisions.” Our mind is like a computer. Just like a computer our minds can be corrupted. It can be full of garbage and useless information. It can be full of things from the past or present, hurtful, times or words. The Lord can make our minds our greatest strength.


Do not conform any longer to the pattern of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and prefect will. Romans 12:2


Zig Ziglar, an American author, once said, “It is your attitude, more than your aptitude, that will determine you altitude.” Healing starts with your mind. If you change your mind, you can change your emotions and your choices. Satan combards us with negative thoughts and lies, so to heal our minds we need to believe God’s voice spoken through His Word. We need to take God’s thoughts and replace our withHis. We need to be in God’s Word, armed with His truth, to deal with the lies, fear, doubt and insecurities that invade our thinking.


Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. We need to believe we are who our Lord and Savior says we are. 1 John 4:4


Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17


My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20


For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21


For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ. We need to make a conscious choice to renew our mind. To pray and ask for God’s help continually. Ephesians 2:10


We need to think on Philippians 4:8…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
