Choose You This Day

Joshua 24:15 “Choose you this day whom ye will serve.”

Every day you are confronted with choices that become decisions. These decisions we make every day have outcomes…some kind of result that will be positive or negative.

Remember…Your choices will cost you more than you want to pay or pay you without sorrow. Your choices will hurt you more than you want or bring healing to your situation. Your choices will take you farther than you want to go or put you on the road with your destination ahead.

Research says that the average person makes 35,000 decisions a day. Our guide is as follows to help us make wise decisions.

· God and His word, the Bible – Ephesians 5:1, Psalm 119:105 Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

· The Holy Spirit – John 16:13 The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth.

· Prayer – Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He had done.” John 14:13-14 “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!”

· Counsel from others – Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall or fail; but in the multitude of counsellor there is safety. Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed; but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 24:6 So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers.

Remember…Jesus never made a decision on His own…He always saw and heard from the Father. John 5:19
