Christ has Made All Things New

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

I am not good at repurposing things. But I have always admired those who are. They can look at something that seems broken, used, and ready to be thrown away and restore it to its original beauty or into something even greater. It is often like this with people. God can see what we cannot see. We are called to see through His eyes. We are called to have faith that God can do mighty things even with the most broken and incomplete person. The person that this world has thrown away. We may not be able to see the potential in a person, but we know that Christ can restore any life that surrenders to Him. Our hope is not in the ability of the person. Our hope is in the power of our God to redeem lives.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” This scripture is so widely used that we often forget the gravity of it. Salvation means that we are new. The hindrances of this world and the bondage of sin are behind us. We are made new in Jesus. What a powerful promise! I hope you will rest in that today. Rest in knowing that Christ has made all things new!
