Culture Feeds Our Weakness

For some, it is easy to see the evil in the world these days. However, for others you are attacked by the enemy and told that it is not evil, and the world accepts it. This attack, more times than not comes from the area in our lives where we find ourselves the weakest to defend. The enemy himself knows us all too well, and does not play fair. He has one thing on his mind and that is to steal, kill, and destroy anyone he can. The closer we grow in our relationship with Christ, the harder and more frequently the devil will attack us.

Why is it always our area of weakness? Well, its simple, those who don’t put their whole heart and trust in God will more easily give into the attack. Its only when we come to a place where we allow God to fight our battles that we can consistently fend off the enemy’s attacks.

Psalms 34:17-19 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

What must happen first? “The righteous cry for help.”. We must cry out for help before the Lord will intervene on our behalf. That means there must be an acceptance that we have a weakness in our life that needs to be addressed. An area or areas that the Lord needs to forgive us or even strengthen us. I challenge you today to examine yourself, and even ask the Lord to not only exam you but reveal those areas of weakness where you need help from the enemy’s attacks. Once we know them, the Bible tells us he will deliver us and help us through it. Cry out to him and let him radically change your life.

Be Blessed, Pastor Brandon
