The faith of the 3 men thrown into the fiery furnace of the king is something that has inspired a lot of life choices over the course of time. EVEN IF faith is something that is difficult for us to understand or better yet, accomplish. I recently spoke to our youth group about this topic and broke it down into smaller areas. We can all say we would lay down our life for Christ, but we live in such a comfortable world that the theory of this is highly unlikely to be challenged. So, to make it a little easier to apply to our life, I asked some questions such as: I will sit with the person alone at lunch EVEN IF I get made fun of… I will stop and help the person in the hallway who dropped their books, EVEN IF I didn’t cause the accident… I will respect my teachers and complete all my work EVEN IF they are not my favorite class. Of course, these hit home a bit more with the teenagers, but what might that look like in our adult life? I will show up to work on time EVEN IF don't love my job… I will complete tasks on time and be respectful EVEN IF I don't like my boss… I will be at Church every time there is a service EVEN IF I am tired, or don’t feel like it because I know that the Holy Spirit will meet me there… I will spend my quiet time every day focused on growing my relationship with Christ EVEN IF it means sacrificing in other areas in my life… I think you get the point. So, what might EVEN IF faith look like in your life?
