Daniel 3: 16-28
This passage of scripture depicts an amazing story of three incredible people who display a faith that is hard for us to understand and to live out. Facing almost certain death, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego put into action an “Even If” type of faith. Knowing they were going to die, they still trusted their God to deliver them but in verse 18 we see them look the enemy in the eye and say “even if” our God does not deliver us from the fiery furnace we will not let it change our relationship with him, or let it shake our faith… How hard is that type of faith to live out in our lives today?
So many times, we live in an “If you do” type of faith. We wait to see if the miracle will happen before we believe. We put stipulations on God that IF he does something for us, we will let it strengthen our faith. We tell God IF He opens a door for us we will tell others about him. When we hear about it that way, we are often taken back at how that can't be accurate. I challenge you to examine your prayer life, or your conversations with God and see just how many times you put a stipulation on God. We often don’t intentionally do it, but we find ourselves in a spot where we need God to do something for us but instead, He is looking for us to take a stand and be bold for Him.
Let's reset our thinking and start being bold in every situation of our lives where we stand up and stand out with our faith and
watch what God blesses us with.
Be Blessed,
Pastor Brandon
