Fasting wit Significance
He who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91 (NKJV)
Congratulations! If you are still reading at this point you have stuck with the fast. May God bless your faithfulness. Take time today to reflect on your journey. I am sure there were ups and downs. There always will be when we embark on a journey to draw close to God. Satan will bring down all he can to try and stop you from firmly being rooted and planted in God. All he has to do is get you to change one thought or make one comment and he can derail your intentions. Good news! God is faithful. The purpose of this fast was to be significant in our intentions. Don’t ever lose sight of James 5:16 (NKJV), The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Be assured God has heard your cry, He will deliver you. I pray this fast has changed your life so significantly that fasting becomes a lifestyle. Be open and ready when God prompts you to fast again. Remember He sees what is before us and desires to protect us from the snare of the devil. Our spiritual relationship is the most important thing we can spend our time developing. Don’t be tricked into setting aside the things of God because your day is full of responsibilities. Let the parable Jesus told in Luke be ever on your mind, Take heed…lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness and cares of this life, Luke 21:34 (KJV). As Jesus tells us in verse 36, watch…and pray. Continue to make time for God. Continue to seek His face and you will hear from heaven. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
