Forgiveness to All Who Believe

Psalm 86:5 “You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you”

The Word says that God loved us, before we loved Him! The entire work of the Cross was, and continues to be, the completed work of perfect redemption- to avail remission/ blotting out/ like it never happened! Forgiveness of sins, plus a life changing status opportunity of going from lost to found, from dead to “alive”, and from perdition to “joint heirs” with Christ, when we understand the need for our Savior, contrition of sins AND a life lived with/for God and His purposes. The Lord is relational, filial, connected, present… and much aware of our closeness and distancing, depending on what is going on any given day. Our humanity, too, hinders the flow of the Spirit, it likes its way. Even this morning at prayer group, our three strand chord group- we found ourselves asking God for forgiveness.. a clean slate.. a new day starting with God! Why? .. because little things can hinder, cloud, even impede the good prepared and awaiting us! I want a tilled (loose and un-weeded) terrain in my heart, with detectable substance value and valor in God’s eyes. Our God receives prayers, simple and verbose, because as the Revelator, we are made aware of the importance of standing upright, and sincerely moving as He leads.

Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting.
