God Sees

The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all. Psalm 103:19

The definition of sovereignty is supreme power and authority. God is sovereign and omnipotent. He is all powerful. God is omniscient. He knows everything. God is omnipresent. He is always everywhere. God is infinite. He has no boundaries. God is immutable. He never changes. He knows all and sees all. The sin we have successfully hidden at work or from our family He still sees. We can hide a lot of things but, we can’t hide anything from God.

Greg and I were once involved in a drama at church. The skit involved a mom, a dad and two kids. They were on their way to church. The parents were fighting and the kids were fighting. The parents were yelling at the kids and the kids were yelling at each other. Tension was high, words were unkind and the situation was volatile. They turned in to the church parking lot and pulled into to a parking spot. Everyone in the car reached under their seat and pulled out a fake face that was all smiles. The fight was hidden, no one at church knew what went on in the car on the way to church BUT God. He Knows. He saw.

For the ways of everyone are before the eyes of the Lord, and He observes all his paths. His own wrongdoings will trap the wicked, and he will be held by the ropes of his sins. He will die for lack of instruction and in the greatness of his foolishness he will go astray. Proverbs 5:21-23

God hates sin but He doesn’t hate us. He hates sin because He knows that sin hurts us and breaks our fellowship with Him. Always remember, God loves you so much He sent His only Son to shed His blood for your sin. He offers forgiveness. He offers to cleanse us. Yes, God sees but He has made a way. Repent and be free.
