Good News

Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because he anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

The Lord would have you know, that His worst day of suffering here on earth, did not deter, arrest, diminish or hault the consummation of His earthly assignment, for the cause of an eternal heavenly kingdom. The redemptive plan thru the death, burial and resurrection of the Servant King, Jesus Christ, continues to be the only way to God the Father. This once and for all atoning work-because of the perfect and blameless Lamb of God, continues to be true and truth that sets every captive free, and establishes your heavenward final destination with our God. The Lord’s merciful ways are such, that He cleanses our record, forgives our trespasses, washes us thoroughly, and exemplifies our lifestyle and way of living. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever Psalm 23:6.

I read this scripture as saying:”My goodness will be with you, I don’t falter. We shall be together always. I don’t change nor leave! Steadfast is the banner I wave over you, Beloved.” The good news continues to be that He came then, as He comes now, to bring good tidings to the poor, to open the prison doors, to break the shackles of bondage, to give sight to the blind, to mend the broken-hearted, and to declare the year of the Lord’s favor. As for me (and my house), I have seen and tasted the goodness of God to overwhelming and overflowing!
