He Will Never Leave Us

In 2002, my husband had a heart attack and had to have emergency surgery. I drove 2 hours to the hospital in Columbia, MO. He had another heart attack when we got to the hospital. After 4 hours into the surgery the surgeon came out and told us to pray cause things were not going well. He was in surgery for about 9 hours. Our pastor and our family were on our knees praying. That night I went to my motel room. I cried out to God for peace, I opened my Bible and there was Philippians 2:27, For indeed he was sick, nigh unto death; but God had mercy on him, not on him only but on me also, lest I have sorry upon sorrow.” I then had God’s peace and His assurance that no matter what happened that God would see us through. He will never leave us or forsake us. Praise God!

He Knows My Name

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed you, O Israel; “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your naje; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

For you formed my inward parts you covered me in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13

What a blessing it is to know that God knows my name! He knew that there would be times that I, in my weakness, would fall short. He came, not to abolish the law, but to bring it into fulfillment. He had me in mind when he went to the cross.

He calls me chosen, free forgiven, wanted, child of the King

His forever, held in treasure, I am loved.

I don’t need my name in lights, I’m famous in my Father’s eyes

Make no mistake, He know my name.

I’m not living for applause, I’m already so adored.

It’s all His stage, he knows my name.

He knows my name, Oh, Oh he knows my name. (Francesca Battistelli)
