His Word

“The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 TPT

I love this promise in God’s Word, and I’ve been clinging to it lately. Recently we have been through some trials, and it’s been a time of encouraging ourselves in the Lord. The Crabbs sing a song and one of the verses says, “He never promised that the cross would not get heavy, or the hill would not be hard to climb. He never offered our victories without fighting but he said help would always come in time...”

It is true, Jesus never promised a comfortable journey but He did promise He would never leave us. He did promise He would complete His work, He did promise to be faithful, to battle for us, to protect us and to be our ever-present help in time of need. His Word is loaded with promises. When the hill gets hard to climb, run to the Word. No matter the battle, you can stand on His promises and the Holy Spirit will back you every time.
