The Shepherd of the House is the individual in which God as Called to lead his flock. The person has a calling on their life to serve and sacrifice for the people of their congregation. In many cases, the Shepard of the House puts the people’s needs before their own. They have a call on their life that no man can take away. It is extremely important that we Honor this person in our life. God’s Word has given us several requirements and guidelines of what someone must do and not do to be a Pastor, Bishop, and so on. So, these positions come with a very high standard according to the Word. The Bible also makes a point several times that we are to submit to their authority as our shepherds.
From Hebrews 13:17 it tells us to … Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
We are to submit ourselves to Pastors and Leaders God has put into our lives. We must be careful in this as the devil will try and play his evil games and put people in our lives that will ultimately pull us from or deviate us from fulling submitting and honoring our Shepherd. It is important to be in tune with our relationship with Christ so he will bless us with that spirit of discernment to know whom to follow.
Be Blessed
