In Times Like...

As a first time 24 yr. old mother, and because our daughter was jaundiced- I (we) had to leave her in the hospital “under lights” for 4 days, after I left 2 days post-delivery… and THAT was really hard! When I finally got the call to come get her, I said to Greg:”let’s GO!” and ran out the door with nothing but great anticipation. The Word says that God will not give you more than you can handle, and He wastes not opportunities for growth, introspection, course correction and motives. I was like “a deer in the headlights”, when I had nothing to change our baby into, and she came home bundled in a complete disposable outfit-truly cleaning cloth couture!”.

Motherhood was easy with my unfuzzy baby, so confidence quickly grew and guided me thru. Like a newborn, our faith/confidence/authority/maturity comes as you are seasoned in the office given you; which in my case was that of a home maker and care giver. I encouraged the kids to look at their options and be courageous to decide on things, and own up and tell the truth even when hard. Affection, thou, is a cultural thing that has enriched us all… as the scriptures say(Romans 16:16, 2 Cor. 13:12, 1 Thessalonians 5:26, 1 Cor. 16:20, 1 Pet. 5:14) greet one to another with a holy kiss. I have learned love makes a way and disarms disunity. That consistency builds trust and faith. That meaning, what you say, and saying what you mean (in love) is comforting. That transparency reveals the heart. And as we become His, then, we go about helping others with seeds of faith/love/and the goodness of the Gospel, for what we say (with Christ-mindedness) can really change a life around… a generation. And as a Beloved of God, more than ever, I am experiencing the SUPERB, gladness in His keeping… Selah, His light has come and keeps rising within me.

Psalm 57:7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering for He who promised is faithful;

Isa.26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock.

1 Cor. 16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
