Intimacy with Christ

“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.”

John 10:14 NKJV

This verse shows the relationship between Christ and us. As believers in Christ, we are to pursue the things of God so we can get closer to Christ so we can be in this intimacy with Christ. This relationship goes past the surface and into the very depths of our soul.

We have to remember that there has to be consistency in our relationship with the Lord because the enemy always looks for an inconsistency so they can see in and try to damage and ultimately ruin our relationship with Christ.

So the meditation and questions and a take away from this verse is this.

1. How are we seeking the things of God?

2. Are we in consistent communication with God over the big things and small things?

3. Are we fully surrendered to Jesus Christ and his plan and purpose for our lives?

4. Do you know him?

Prayer 

Thank you, Lord, for giving your life for laying it down and then raising it back up again so that we can be in this relationship with you help us now Lord to stay connected to the vine. Help us now Lord by giving us a hunger desire for your word that renews our minds.

And we thank you, in the name of Jesus
