Jesus is a Promise Keeper

When I hear this statement a song comes to mind, Every Promise in the book by The Sensational Nightingales.

I do not know about you, but the song makes me shout because My God is a Promise Keeper from the beginning of time to the end of time. He never leaves me or forsakes me. When I look at scripture, I see his promises throughout the Bible.

Psalms 145:13 tells me, The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all He does.

He promises to protect me.

-Psalms 91:4, He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

He promises to strengthen me.

- Philippians 4:13, I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

- Exodus 15:2, The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

He promises to provide for me.

- Philippians 4:19, And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

- Isaiah 58:11, The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

He promises to give me peace.

- John 14:27, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

- John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

These are just a few of his promises, and he has never failed to keep them. I encourage you to cling to Jesus, our friend who sticks closer than a brother. When the storms of life hit, cling to the one who promises to protect and strengthen you.
