Jesus is Coming

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-19

He is coming! Are you ready? Are you watching? Jesus Christ is coming back for His bride. The redeemed are watching the eastern skies, waiting for His return. See the thing is, the Bible tells us we will not know the day or the hour. It also says that His coming will be like a thief in the night. If we aren’t watching and waiting we may miss it because it is possible for the cares of this life to overtake us in a snare. The devil is walking the earth back and forth like a caged lion looking for someone to devour. But the Bible says for us to take comfort in knowing He will be return. Why? Because it will be worth it all. Because if we had hope in only this world we would be miserable. Our hope is in the Lord, there is no other. We can count on Him. Be vigilant, be prayerful, seek His face, read His Word and stayed covered in His precious blood.

For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. Matthew 24:44. Life in the Spirit Study Bible commentary says this, “Christ’s urgent warning to be always spiritually ready for His unexpected coming applies to all generations of Christians…It is a motive for perseverance in the faith.” Persevere my friend. The dictionary defines persevere as a verb. This would be an action on our part, an action to: “continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success.” Stay the course. Hold the line. Keep the faith. Jesus is coming! He is coming for you!
