Jesus is My Healer

Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. Psalms 30:2

Can you think of a time that you called on God to help, and He healed you?

When I was 18, I remember our close family friend, a medical physician, explained it might be challenging to have children. After being married for a year, Brandon and I were told again that it would be challenging to have a child. My Doctor discussed a plan, and I was set to have a procedure that could give us a chance, but he was not sure it would work. I had the procedure, and we prayed and fasted for a child.

I remember Julia and I were heading to my six weeks checkup talking about what if I was pregnant. Well, the nurse made a mistake and grabbed the wrong chart. My heart broke when she commented on getting to hear the baby’s heartbeat. I remember the pain of saying that was not me. The crazy thing is we found out several weeks later I was pregnant, and the Doctor could not believe it when he came into the room. When I look at sweet Kenlee, I thank God for healing my body and allowing me to have a precious little girl. I could go on about how the Lord has healed Corbin’s ears, my father-in-law, and other family members. He is so faithful and good.

We must have faith that God will heal. James 5:14:15 tells us, “14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven”.

Jesus is our healer of sickness, addiction, heartache, trauma, and the list goes on, have faith to pray and be healed.
