Keep Knocking

“Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 (New Living Translation)

I believe that mothers who sincerely, consistently pray for their children is the greatest weapon against the enemy that exists! I personally have watched God save my children from multiple efforts of Satan to destroy them.

I also must say that the answers don’t come anywhere near as soon as we want them to, but they do come…some through literal miracles that leave us in awe of His power.

So, I will knock and keep on knocking for my kids until God brings me home!

Understanding the Will of God

Throughout my life I have wondered if a certain decision or certain circumstance was God’s will for my life. In my wondering, I would often worry or second guess my previous decision and just over-think. While praying and seeking the Lord in your life is certainly not a bad choice, sometimes we just flat out over-think our decisions.

Psalms 37:23 says, “The steps of a righteous man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” If we actually believe this and understand His Word to be true, then we really have no reason to worry or fret over the decisions or circumstances in our lives. If our heart is to live and serve Him and bring honor to Him, then our steps are established or ordered by the Lord.

When you consider Psalm 37:23 in congruence with understanding His will for our lives, then we know that He is directing our paths if we are followers of Christ. Furthermore, Psalm 119:105 says, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” When we study His Word and it’s in our mind and hearts, then not only will He establish our steps, He will light up our path and make it clear where we are heading. The Lord loves His children so much, He has a great plan for our lives. You see, it’s really quite simple, if we are following Christ, then we are in His will.
