You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, and slow to speak, and slow to anger. James 1:19
My grandson was trying to tell me something the other day and I was too busy to listen. It didn’t seem important to me, but it was to him. As my grandchildren get older, I want them to know and believe that when they talk, I will listen. As we go through life it should be the same way with those around us. Did we hear what they said? It could have been a call for help. Did we hear their voice? The world we live in is crying. People are hurting. It is up to us to be the ears that hear. It is up to us to be the voice that brings hope. A word that brings peace. The Bible says in James 1:19, “be swift to hear and slow to speak.” God wants us to have our ears turned on all the time. God will give us the right words. He will give us the wisdom and understanding of the situation. So, get out there and see what you can hear!
