Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.”

Psalm 25:16 ESV

Leadership is often a lonely position when exercising authority and making tough decisions. Nobody likes to hear no and it’s easy to let things slide. Standing on what is right does not win popularity contests with most people. Take a sec and pray for your leaders today. They have a tough job and are often discouraged. Psalm 25 was written at a point in David’s life where his three sons, friend and counselor had turned against him. Now that’s discouragement.

We serve a sovereign God. We can trust that He is in control and has appointed the leadership that we are under. Our society is faced with the turmoil of many leader that don't align with the word of God. We can rest in the knowledge that God is still on the throne and He is faithful. I want to encourage you to pray and fast for the leaders that are standing on the spiritual truths in the word of God. The Bible reminds us that our battle is not in the flesh but in the spirit. Let’s remember to fight like we know who wins in the end.

Examples of Leaders

1. Pastors

2. Elders

3. Parents

4. President

5. Governor

Examples of Fasting

1. Social media

2. Food

3. Media (ex,T.V., streaming services, movies, news outlets)

We have leaders that are making difficult decisions and fighting battles that we can’t see. As the body of Christ we have an incredible opportunity to be a support to them. Let us remember them as we pray and encourage them.
