Our Awesome God

“Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” Psalm 90:2

Pondering the greatness of our God is something we should all take part of. It’s a form of praise thinking of His awesome Deity and the wonders of who He is. It’s thinking beyond how wonderful it is that he saved our souls from an eternal hell, but instead focusing on the Almighty God.

A humbling thought to mediate on, before the existence of anything, God was…wow. In my small mind, I try to comprehend this state of no creation yet there is God. It’s amazing to consider the greatness of my God and to know why all humanity must fear Him. He deserves such awesome respect and honor.

I believe Adam Clarke described this verse and its intent the best, “This is the highest description of the eternity of God to which human language can reach.” In our humanity we are limited to how we can describe or even think upon our God. He is truly indescribable, everlasting, never changing, He is God Almighty.
