Pray for Rain

I have said many times lately that we need to pray for rain. Our land is thirsty and dry. Many things around us are dying. Our souls get dry too, just like the dust of the earth. In the Bible, Elijah prayed for rain. And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain (1 Kings 18:41). There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Now that is faith. It reminds me of the story of the two farmers who prayed for rain. One began to prepare his fields while one stood and stared at the sky. Elijah got his rain. Every day we should be planting seed and sowing into someone’s life. So many people are thirsty and dry. They need rain. God will do the same for us that he did for Elijah. We need to have faith to plant the seed. God will give us the harvest. He will send the rain!
