Prayer of a Troubled Heart

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. Psalm 61:1

What troubles your heart today? Have you brought it to Jesus? The Psalmist continues in verse 3 and 4: For you have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.

There are many troubles in the world today. Many hearts are heavy and burdened down with stress. Release your troubles to the Almighty through prayer. Remind yourself that He has never failed you or forsaken you in times of trouble. He won’t this time either.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. Psalms 34:19

Did you hear that? Yes, there are many troubles and afflictions in this world BUT GOD! He will deliver us from them all. Hope by its very nature refers to the future. Hope is believing that something good will happen. Hope is unwavering confidence in God securing our future and helping us in times of trouble.

Do not trust in noblemen, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation…Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea and everything that is in them. Psalm 146:3-6

Look up, have hope today. Let your hope and help be in the God of Jacob.
