Redeeming Love

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace”

Ephesians 1:7 NASB1995

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen.”

Galatians 1:3-5 NASB1995

One of the greatest examples of love is found in the book of Ruth. In this passage of scripture, we find Ruth and Naomi who have returned from Moab. Both are broken and in need of saving. We all need a savior, and someone has to pay the price of the redeemer. God loves us so much that He paid the price for our sins, and we find ourselves brought into the kingdom by the love of one. Through the providence of God Ruth is redeemed, and the redeemer is still redeeming the lost and broken.

We need to rejoice and remain in the joy of our salvation. His love had only price, the cross, so He could pay the ransom for our sins. We were once slaves to sin but now we are called free.

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.” John 15:13-16 NASB1995
