Share the Gospel

Only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. Deuteronomy 4:9

As Christians in this fast-paced world it is difficult to stop and enjoy the moments. We have many things to be thankful for, but sometimes we miss God moments because we are moving so fast. In Deuteronomy 4:9, the Israelites were warned not to forget what the Lord had done for them. The Israelites were told not only to remember but to tell their children.

In America, one of the biggest downfalls is that families no longer sit around the dinner table and share stories because of devices in their hands or trying to keep up with society. I was convicted when I read Deuteronomy 4:9 because I never want to forget what God has done. Also, I do not want to miss sharing the goodness of God with my children. I remember riding in my grandparent's car and singing Gospel music, and they would share stories about how God provided for them and kept His promises. Those moments helped build my faith, and I still remember how God saved my grandfather from a tragic car wreck and completely healed him. The world is trying to infiltrate our children with wickedness. We must fight the fight. The best way to combat negative information is to share the truth. We must get the message of God's goodness out to the world, but we cannot do that by being quiet. Step out, speak up, and share the Gospel.
