Show Up

Isaiah 41:10 “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand!”

Deuteronomy 31:8 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

Zephaniah 3:17 “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

So, my dear mother; ever thoughtful and mindful, saw an advertisement for dancers in the English speaking newspaper, in Puerto Rico, when we moved back to the island from the U.S., in my early 20’s. I showed up on what was the second day of auditions, little me all by myself…no rivals, no one else. I met my future husband (of now 40 yrs.) Greg, in this traveling arena show. I don’t recall being particularly nervous or concerned, I decided to show up, give it a go and see what would come of it. Guess what? After the audition I was immediately offered a job! I believe I had an expectancy of good tidings and carefree motivation, lack of worry, no concerns to bind me up! Greg often says when he asks a question: ”it’s not a trick question!” The Lord’s choreography in our lives is one of compliment, enhancement, grace, cadence and variety even. Thou I can’t say my adventures have all been easy peasy, I can testify to moves abroad and back, with God’s favor, comfort, peace and aid -to give all glory to. The Lord is a good Father, and faithful God, looking to spot you in the crowd, with a radiant face and a HOPE FULL heart; and joyful songs ringing from His throne! With fresh mercies be encouraged, to show up when opportunity arises with a divine tug—He will lead you from there unto walks and high escapes with majestic fingerprints of His higher ways!
