Matthew 5:4 (New King James Version)

Blessed are those who mourn,

For they shall be comforted.

Looking at this world we are passing through, we all experience times of mourning. It is something that often brings great sorrow. Times where we say goodbye to friends, family, and those we love. And without Jesus it would have meant forever. Looking at Jesus teaching this great crowd in Matthew 5, He opens the eyes of all who were listening. Jesus brought a Kingdom principle, when this life on earth is over, it is not the end. Hope is not lost, relationships are not severed, and love carries through into what we know as Heaven. There have been times when I have had the blessing of praying with someone who has lost someone close to them. And when praying you could feel the presence of the Holy Spirt wrap His loving presence around them and Hope rises and fills what is empty.

Revelation 21

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
