The Goodness of God

Psalm 8:4-8 “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas.”

It has always amazed me how much God has given us. Out of all of His creations, He chooses us to care for the rest of creation and give Him praise. I don’t know about you but I’m very aware of my limitations. I feel pretty inadequate for that calling. The truth is that in all that He’s given us and trusted us with, He’s also promised to equip us for it all. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” One of the greatest gifts we have is His word. All that we need to fulfill what He has called us to is found in the pages of the Bible.

Are you struggling today? The answer is in His word. Is your heart broken beyond repair? There is healing found in His word. Are you faced with uncertainty? There is peace found in His word. The goodness of our great God is always found in His word.
