The Light Brings Healing

1 John 1:8-10 If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth. But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we claim that we’re not guilty of sin when God uncovers it with his light, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.

Exposure of sin is no fun to experience, but the purpose is wonderful. Jesus brings His light to our life and everything that is going on is fully exposed. The reason for that is that Jesus doesn’t want us hiding in shame, He doesn’t want us to cover up or ignore things meant to destroy us.

The Savior is merciful and He wants to be invited into the mess and turn it into a message. The Lord wants us to know that He wants all of us, and no matter how deep the pit or big the sin if we know He knows all, we will also experience his full mercy. What you’ll learn is that even in knowing every detail of your failures the Messiah does not reject you. He’s asking for your honesty to show Him everything, for your humility to come to him and acknowledge you need his grace. Then he wants you to trust that as you submit to Him he will forgive you. He will heal you and empower you to live an overcoming life.

However, first we have to be willing to let the light bring forth all for the purpose of redemption. Don’t run in fear of condemnation but embrace that sweet voice of the Master bidding you come. He has freedom waiting for you. Our savior turns messes into masterpieces and He will do it for you. Come to His light and revive life more abundantly.
