The Morning Brings Word of His Unfailing Love

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Psalm 143:8

To the calm and unburdened the morning brings light and the promise of a new day with new blessings but to the one facing adversity and overwhelming testing, the morning brings heaviness and a feeling of reaching the end of their rope. To both, the light of the new day should bring prayerful hope. Hope in continued blessings and hope in deliverance from great trial, but hope, nonetheless. Hope in God’s power and presence.

Whether you are burdened down or on the mountain top, let the morning remind you of God’s unfailing love. Love that…redeems, delivers, surrounds, comforts, directs and protects. A love that doesn’t fail and a love that lasts for eternity. A love that gave the ultimate sacrifice for us and a love that examples abound if we only but look. The Bible tells us that God is the same yester, today and forever and it’s pages are filled with wondrous examples of His unfailing love. Put your trust in an unfailing God full of unfailing love. Let your heart pray each morning as the Psalmist did, “show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”

I can’t seem to express my feelings about the verse in Psalm 143:8 without singing an old hymn. I will put the words below but if you haven’t heard it, look it up. Sing it new each morning and trust God with the day ahead.

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils his lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace.

In every high and story gale, my anchor holds within the veil.

When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found.

Dressed in his righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew ad slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25
