The Principle of Honor

This is a strong principle for a happy life in the context of marriage, and that is one that needs to be put on the forefront of your mind. When you Honor one another you are stronger. The word honor means that you are showing value in something. I want to show value most of all to God and then to the most important person on this earth to me. This goes to every married couple. Husband honor your Wife and Wife honor your Husband. This goes especially in front of my children because I want them to see I value my wife more than anything else on this earth. By this model we are setting they will in turn use this for their spouse.

When you cultivate Honor you establish a healthy relationship. One that when troubles come you are able to rely on one another instead of blame one another.

“Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.”
