Trust in Unfailing Love

Romans 8:38-39 “I am convinced that nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Have you ever had one of those days where you blew it? The trash bag breaks, and the kids are getting the wrath of your frustration, you’re late and the cars on your commute get the anxiety riddled response…church bumper sticker in full view. All day long every encounter is met with the worst version of you. When you finally fall into bed after the never-ending day, you feel like a failure. Defeated, knowing your testimony was not evident the Lord interrupts your condemning thoughts with His presence. He is still with you. He still loves you; He still claims you as His child, and his conviction is met with hope for a better tomorrow instead of condemnation. Nothing can separate us from love that we did nothing to deserve in the first place.

Jesus knows our imperfections; he knows our walk in the sanctification process and despite how it looks he never lets go of our hand. He was patient with Peter’s questions and his temper, he was proof to Thomas’ doubts. He was sustenance and comfort to Elijah when he wanted to quit. He was the restorer to Job after the questions and doubts, he blessed him. He heard David, Moses, Gideon, Joseph, Paul, and He hears you.

Jesus stays though failures and trials, doubts and pains, anger and confusion. All throughout scripture the moment repentance takes place you’ll find him with open arms, and an invitation to a clean start. The love of God is more far reaching than we can imagine, and he withholds it from no one. He is the voice calling the lost to come into his presence, he is the strength when we are weak, the peace when there is no answers, the confidence in the face of fear, and the assurance that no matter the day, he still bids us come. So, I encourage you, no matter what you’re facing, give thanks for His unmeasurable love. Sit in His presence and have an encounter with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He has love for you that you cannot imagine, that you cannot be separated from, and he is bidding you come.

Psalm 136:26 “Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.”
