Unhindered Worship
I was taking Avah to school today and we were listening to worship music. Out of the back seat I heard a song come out of her, that caused me to nearly pull over. I said, “Was that YOU?? Were you singing?” She smiled and said “OH yea!!” I had no idea that kind of worship was locked up in that little body. The more I thought about it, the more I prayed about it. Here’s what came to me. We are raising the next generation of worshipers, of world changers, evangelist, encouragers, restorers. The kids we are charged with raising are able to touch heaven with one prayer. They aren’t hindered when they pray, when they worship and unbelief isn’t in their vocabulary. They believe God said it, and He will do it. So they worship from that place. Innocent, awesome, untainted belief. Belief that God is always good, He is always powerful, He always tells the truth and He never lets us down, and NOTHING is impossible for Him. So as I’m cultivating my kids, they are cultivating me. We have precious gifts friends. That songbird in my backseat wasn’t a frail 4 year old, she was a powerhouse of worship and it wrecked me. Man.... what a change of perspective. Her praise is powerful and it blessed me, it challenged me to learn from her total surrender. I think we underestimate the power of our kids when their hand is in God’s. I’m thankful for the awesome responsibility and privilege to get to raise a generation of worshipers. May we learn from each other ❤️
