Who Leads?
“The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing.” Psalm 23:1
There is a difference in moving farm animals. Sheep follow their trusted shepherd. Usually when moving cattle and other farm animals, the farmer is behind them encouraging them to go forward. In Psalm 100:3 we are described this way, “Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” Do we follow our shepherd’s lead or are we trying to get in front of him and then wonder why things don’t work out well? A God that knows us, made us, pastures us, certainly will protect us and we will lack nothing if we follow the great Shepherd’s lead.
