Words as Weapons...For or Against

I know from experience how easy it is to lay down my God-given weapon— “the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word” (Ephesians 6:17). ... In hand or in heart, this weapon is “living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12)

Whatever we come into agreement with, that’s what we empower. We can speak words of healing or words that wound; I can edify and build up or discourage and tear down. Words are containers of power, and they carry either positive or negative power like a weapon for good or evil.

Prov.18:21 says; The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock, and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14 NASB

Ephesians 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Lord, I pray you show me how to speak life through the words of my mouth, my thoughts, and the condition of my heart to be always pleasing, acceptable before Your eyes. I thank You my one and only Redeemer, my Protector, my Lord and Savior, in Jesus’ name, amen.
