You Are a Stakeholder

And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25

In the fight against sexually immorality, we are all stakeholders. There is not one who is not on the front line of the fight. Sexual immorality is the devil’s way of destroying our homes, our families and our churches. We must encourage one another, pray for one another and seek freedom from the grips of a sinful world.

There are 3 ways you might be a stakeholder in the fight against sexual immorality:

1. Prayer – Whether you are bound by the chains of sexual immorality or not, you are needed on the front lines to pray. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds (2 Corinthians10:4). The weapon against sexual immorality in our nation, our homes and our churches is prayer. You can stand in the gap for your family and friends. You can make a difference. You can fight the fight. You can be the difference in percentages. Pray for future generations, for those seeking freedom and for family members affected by this stronghold.

2. Education – Our kids and grandkids are bombarded with images, conversations and a culture that not only accepts but encourages sexual immorality including pornography. Education can be an effective tool in preventing sin that so easily ensnares us and our loved ones. We need a new culture, a culture that cultivates conviction and people of integrity. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word (Psalm 119:37).

3. Accountability – According to the statistics, 50% of you need to be free from the grips of this sin. Hopefully, just reading this information has brought about conviction and you recognize the need for help and a renewing of your mind. Seek discipleship today. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and the pride of life-is not from the Father but is from the world (1 John 2:16). If you are part of the statistics, you are living in Broken Fellowship with Christ. If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth- we are not living what we claim (1 John 1:6-7). The good news is that Christ is waiting with open arms to restore what the devil has taken. He desires an unbroken fellowship with Him. If we admit our sins-simply come clean about them-he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing (1 John 1:10).

Fight the good fight of faith. Encourage others. Pray without ceasing. Stand against the wiles of the devil. We need each other and we need a divine fellowship with our Creator. We are in it together. Let’s Fight!
