Today’s word is mettle. The definition of mettle is a person’s ability to cope well with difficulties or to face a demanding situation in a spirited and resilient way. A synonym would be courage. I remember seeing a picture of a field of golden wheat ready for harvest but the sky was full of dark storm clouds. John 4:35 says, “Do you not say, four months more than the harvest? I tell you open your eyes and look at the field!
