In the Midst with Him

Colossians 2:9-10 For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe. I, the Lord, from the commencement of the world... had fellowship and relationship in mind. To admire and partake of My creative doing, and enjoy this wanted company and familial exchange. Never are My thoughts that I would be better without you; thou the world continues to insist in it’s own ways, apart from the truth, and in total unbelief of deity! My heart has always been and remains that none would perish, but come to the knowledge of God, who WAS, and IS, and IS TO COME! My yoke is easy and My burden l

Love's Banner

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Song of Solomon 2:5 Every year our town gets an influx of SNOW BIRDS. Tour buses, filled with seniors come from all over the US and Canada to shop, eat, and visit our many music shows. Usually, when the bus arrives they are given a local step-on guide to assist them during their stay. As they enter a theater, the guide holds up a bright colored flag or banner to lead them to their seat. When you book a trip or cruise, your planner gives you a booklet describing your trip: Where you are going and how you are to get there. On this journey, we call life God has given us a book to follow. It’s called a BIBLE. Read and studi

Waiting on God

I think the most important thing that all Christians must learn is this, THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, AND YOU ARE NOT HIM! We live in a fast food society, the I have to have it right now, the my way or the highway generation. It’s sad that this reflects the way many of us want God to work in our lives. I myself have said, Lord I need you to do this right now or This is what I would do! Notice the pattern, the problem here is me, I’m not God. I don’t know the future, I’m not all knowing, all powerful, the beginning and the end, no I’m just a man. But, I am His child, the one He loves. He know our needs and his timing is perfect. We must learn to wait. WAIT: to remain or rest in expectation Re

Don't Give Up

My husband Larry sowed grass seed in an area behind our Montana house. We watered it faithfully but the growth was spotty. Larry looked out the window at the lack of grass and commented, “Maybe we should just grow weeds back there, it would sure be easier.” There are occasions when I feel the same way about my Christian life. I would enjoy taking life easy, and quit dealing with the struggles of life. I’d like to just let the weeds of pride, judgment and unforgiveness grow. But I’m not happy doing that either, as my real desire is to please Jesus. I remember Apostle Paul had many times when circumstances were very discouraging and it wasn’t easy for him, either. He didn’t quit, but continued

Even There; I the Lord

When your heart is downcast, remember My love! No earthly or heavenly thing can separate us, Beloved...I accompany you, and I am acquainted and familiar with this darkness of the soul. In your lowest valley, as in your highest hill, My grip is steadfast and My love solid. Before My crucifixion, the weight upon Me brought bloody sweat to my brow; and My intercessory team fell asleep! ...and never did I feel farther from my Father. But behold, I sit in heavenly places making intercession for you; and Abba knows your troubles. Only with Me, and My word, will you find release, answers, and transforming love. I give you fullness, My bounty suffices. You efficiently apply yourself to the task at h

Rain

As I was sitting on the bus recently coming home from a soccer match I had just coached, I passed by a lot of fields in which farmers were out planting, plowing, and preparing their fields for the rainy season so their crops would be prepared to receive it and grow. I began to quickly examine my own life as I thought about the rain. I long for the times that God rains down His blessings, His power, His grace, His presence, and I wondered if I had prepared myself receive them so I would be in a place to grow and bring a harvest for His kingdom. We spend a lot of time in our daily life praying for opportunities and chances to be used for the Kingdom but have we prepared ourselves for when his

Just Give Me Jesus

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14 Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 We often quote the scripture to come to Jesus as a child, expressly regarding our faith. Their faith is pure and expectant. But I also believe that their discernment for the Holy Spirit is spot on also. Especially prior to their brains being filled with things of their world through television, adult influence and negativity. We often have such hard shells on our hearts and minds that we don’t stop to let

In the Valley of the Shadow, Look to the Light!

Loss is a common source of stress. We can lose our job, our health, our money, our reputation, or a loved one. When people go through loss, we see two common reactions: One is fear, and the other is grief. Grief is good. Grief is the way we get through the transitions of life. In fact, if we don’t grieve, we get stuck! Grief will not kill us if we let it out. On the other hand, fear is a bad thing. Not once does the Bible say, “Grieve not,” “Mourn not,” “Weep not,” or “Cry not.” What it does say is, “Fear not.” And it says that 365 times! Grief doesn’t paralyze, but fear does! David says in Psalm 23:4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for yo

Keep Your Mind on Him

Today you need rest for your soul. Today you need rest for your mind, will and emotions. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest. Hebrews 4:11 The writer of Hebrews is showing us an Old Testament image. In Hebrews 4:3, he recalls Psalm 95:11 in order to give us the context for this word for rest. The Hebrew word is a form of “nvach” and it implies a “settled security”. It is kind of like the ark “resting” on the mountain. Also, it is like God placing Adam in the garden, a place of rest, peace and security. It’s the place where God’s very presence comforts and secures us. Know that God is in charge and He will provide every need in your life. Stand strong on His Word. God will

Food for Thought

I'm not so sure I care for the phrase "God showed up and/or God showed out". Concerning "God showed up?" Isn't he ALWAYS with us? He said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you". Hebrews 13:5. True His presence may not always be felt due to many circumstances...disbelief, unforgiveness, etc. But that doesn't mean he has left us. Not according to His Word. "God showed out"? Whenever God supplies a huge need or desire, is he showing out or off or just being the God that he is? When God created the world, the Word says.."and he saw that it was good". According to our way of seeing things, Crossing the Red Sea, causing the blind to see, the lame to walk, birth of a baby and most of all

Mean What You Say, Say What You Mean

The Word of God says that we build and edify with our words, and we dismantle and destroy with them also. Since we can absolutely bless or curse with the power of the tongue, we are advised and encouraged to choose life, and live! An act of kindness for the beneficiary will be probably never forgotten-always remembered. Likewise, your spoken words hope-fully filled, may and can be a defining and a life changing moment to the hearer. We are called to be salt and light to this earth. And as children of the light, we have a treasure of promises, a known destination, a 24/7 companion... a restored relationship with the King, and our spirit alive! So in the short, or long journey as a Beloved of

Turn Away Wrath

A soft answer turneth away wrath but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 15:1 Gentleness will disarm the most furious, but angry words spoken will begat wrath. Examples of turning away wrath: Aaron (Leviticus 10:16-20) Reubanites (Joshua 22:15-34) Gideon (Judges 8:1-3) Hannah (1 Samuel 1:15-17) Abigail (1 Samuel 25:23) A gentle reply to someone who is angry or upset will pacify that person. Later on in Proverbs 20:3…It is honorable for a man to stop stirring since any fool can start a quarrel. Learning the application of “the Golden Rule”, Do we not comprehend the meaning of Jesus’ words when He said, “Therefore, whatever you want them to do to you, do also to them.” Matthew 7:12 Respon

Still

You will find the peace unspeakable when you wait on Me, the Lord, for your help comes from the One who made heaven and earth! The entirety of words and feelings, in the end, bring you to the place where simply... you linger and stripped down, I am truly Your everything. Keep speaking LIFE and HEALTH and LIGHT to your being, your midst, your people...this earthbound body is very affected by gravity, but the spirit wants to fly, leap, bounce in felicity, for a lingering, persisting meeting with Me, alters the resonance of every one of your parts! ...and the residual effects persist...I give rest to My loved ones, amazing things have I done for you...so choose this day to repeatedly say and st

God is Calling

Over the past few years I have spent a great deal of time in the woods hunting turkeys. This time of year, one of the was to hunt turkeys is to listen to his calling. An ole’ tom turkey has an unmistakable sound called a gobble. To a hunter, it is sweet music. God is calling to all of us in the same way. A call of love. Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but to his own purpose and grace. 2 Timothy 1:9 Listening to God’s call was one of the greatest things I have ever done. Romans 8:28 says, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Listen to God’s call, h

Are You Looking for God?

“The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.” Psalms 14:2 ESV 👆I read this really cool quote from Billy Sunday, “sinners can’t find God for the same reason criminals can’t find a policeman 👮‍♂️.” THEY ARE NOT LOOKING! Are we seeking God or are we still living by the criminal code? Godly character comes seeking God and worshiping him for who He is, with your whole heart. ❤️ When We are saved that means we accept Jesus’ payment and become right with God. 🙌 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 ESV 👆We have been set Free, no chains 🙌no more

Do Good to Those Who Come Against Us!

When we are persecuted, harassed, or facing opposition, we need to respond with a love. Jesus says in Luke 6:27-29, “Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also.” As a follower of Jesus, this has been one of the hardest character traits of Jesus for me to learn and do. Who does that? Not many people, actually. It’s what should set us Christians apart, because it’s not a natural or popular or easy response. It takes a lot of courage to do those things! Anyone can retaliate or say something mean back. God wants us to

Be Strong and Courageous

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 My granddaughter, Kenlee, started Kindergarten this year. It is so much fun watching children grow but it seems that some of their innocence fades when they start school. I know school is necessary and we all grow up. I guess facing the world at such a young age can bring about different responses from children. When faced with adversity or fear, they will respond with what tools we have given them. Some children are never given ways to handle hard situations. Early in life, our children need tools to fight the devil and his sch

Oh What Love!

The man Jesus, the Son of Man, the Christ, The Son of God, God Himself, the Word, giving Himself in Love for our redemption, our way back home to himself. Oh, What Love! Oh, what suffering, oh what judgement for our sin He took on Himself to save us. Oh, what love! Oh, what mercy, the total laying down of His life in order to provide life for us saving us from eternal death. Oh, What Love! The torture imaginable for our sake to pardon us from the just punishment for rejecting His love in the garden. Oh, What Love! Now we are free to receive this eternal love by giving our lives to Him, laying them down for His sake and the Gospel’s. He knew in the beginning who would be His in the end

Different Depths, Weather Never the Less

I, the Lord, have seen your efforts of good, with stretched out neck and faith- in My powerful name- JESUS; whom you continue to search for... understand to a measure... become familiar in your young, maybe even brand new walk with Me, Your Savior. For My babes in the faith, as well as My seasoned ones, there are new/mysterious/untraveled paths with Me, that bring enlightenment, as well as revelation, of this God of Wonders who never leaves your side, and champions every advancement and conquest before you. No state or condition of yours should keep you from our fellowship, for you are the Beloved, My Beloved- the work of My very own hands!! Never out of sight or mind are you; nor are your q

The Training of a Mother

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 We all love the story of the Exodus. The Israelites had been in bondage. God had finally heard their prayer. He had sent Moses to deliver them from the hand of Pharaoh. It is amazing to read about God delivering His people. But when I think about the miraculous things that surrounded Moses and the Children of Israel, the one thing that always fascinates me is Moses’ mother. Hebrews tells us that it was by faith Moses was hid. By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s e
